Stefan was born in Pretoria and lived in Randfontein on the West Rand. We moved to Pretoria when he was eight years old. He finished his school career at Laerskool Skuilkrans and Hoërskool Die Wilgers. He was part of the leadership team in the high school. He completed a diploma in fitness. His hobby was Body Building. In this sport, he obtained Northern Transvaal colors and came third in the SA Championship (national body building competition). He then joined the Democratic Alliance (a political party in South Africa). He is also busy with completing his BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics through UNISA (University of South Africa).
